With an irrevocable passion for progressive design, modern architecture, and contemporary artistic expression, David pioneered a cultural shift within Charleston, SC from a quaint historical municipality, to arguably the most transcendent hospitality destination, per capita, in the United States. That same passion has now expanded nationwide with a team of restaurant heavyweights joining David to craft incredible new concepts.

David began his career as a consultant in Charleston, SC with the city's preeminent dining staple, Magnolia's restaurant. From there he began forging his legacy as a restaurateur with the opening team of Canoe in 1997 in Atlanta, GA which was the recipient of the James Beard Societies nomination for ``Best New Restaurant`` in America. In 1999 David returned to Charleston to open McCrady's restaurant which achieved national acclaim including Esquire magazines award for one of the twenty ``Best New Restaurants in
America``and has been featured in Food & Wine, Travel and Leisure, Gourmet, Sauveur and The New York Times. Using this success David proceeded to open, develop and consult on numerous additional restaurants, two of which also received Esquire awards. Today over 90% of these restaurants are still in operation in an industry that average a 90% failure rate and are producing an estimated $40 million in aggregate annual income.

Using his success as a restaurateur and consultant, David catapulted to the top of the industry for close to 25 years, and proceeded to consult, develop, and launch 17 additional restaurants.
